The United Way of South Central Missouri held its Kick-Off luncheon at Zeno’s, ushering in the beginning of 2011’s fundraising campaign and urging the 130 in attendance to work “with new vigor and determination” to reach or surpass the goal of $175,000.
Funds collected are divided between 22 different local community agencies, and in each case provide only a percentage of the money needed to operate each of those programs and services throughout the year.
