We would like to invite everyone to join us at the Missouri S&T basketball games on Saturday, Feb. 28.
This day has been reserved for the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce Military Appreciation Night. More than 200 soldiers from Fort Leonard Wood will be attending the game and anyone who can show a military ID card will get into the game for free.
We hope that you and your family can join us and show your support and encouragement to our military members. The Chamber wants to make this evening fun and memorable for our troops so we are looking for items that we can through into the crowd, such as shirts, hats, and foam items.
If your business has anything they would like to donate, please contact our offices today.
As another way to encourage families to attend the game, we are selling admittance tickets for $1, which is a $5 savings. This is going to be a fun and inexpensive evening so we hope to have a good showing from our community.
The women’s game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game begins at 7:30 at the Gale Bullman Multipurpose Building in Rolla. If you are interested in purchasing tickets for $1, please contact the Chamber office at 364-3577 or come by to see us at 1311 Kingshighway.
On Wednesday, March 11, we will host Rolla Day at the Capitol.
We will set up booths on the third Floor Rotunda of the Capitol to showcase our community, businesses and organizations. We want to make a great impact in Jefferson City on this day, so we encourage every business and organization to join us and showcase what a great community we have.
This day also serves as a great opportunity to visit with our legislators. There is no cost to participate; we simply need to know who is coming from your business. We will set up around 9 a.m. and will take down at 3 p.m. If you would like to participate, please contact our office.
Please mark your calendars for another opportunity for business education on Thursday, March 5, when the Chamber will host a breakfast at Zeno’s featuring Brad Jones, Missouri Director of National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB).
Brad is going to speak about the NFIB organization, the state of the economy from their perspective, and what today’s business person should be looking out for and how to stay competitive. This will be an exceptional learning opportunity that we encourage each of you to attend. To make reservations, please call the Chamber office.
If your business is not a Chamber member, now is a perfect time for you to join.
Join today and be a part of something great in the community. You can reach us at 364-3577 or rollacc@rollachamber.org.
