Robert Paul “Bob” Struckmeier, of Rolla, was born Nov. 8, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., and passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in Rolla, Mo., at the age of 61.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Paul Struckmeier, mother Anita (Cody) Struckmeier, and his sister, Debbie Struckmeier.
Bob grew up in St. Louis, Mo., and graduated from SLU High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a Russian interpreter. He then received his degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, after which he became a Missouri Conservation Agent for Phelps County.
Bob retired after 22 years of service with Fort Leonard Wood as a Federal Game Warden. He was a member of Quail Forever. He was an avid hunter and taught the Hunter Safety Program.
Bob is survived by Helen Vaughn, Jackie Naunhein, his beagle, “Bo” and many friends.
A funeral service for Bob Struckmeier will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Null & Son Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Rhea Cemetery in rural Rolla.
A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Rhea Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla.
