Joshua Ryan Shepherd was born Nov. 12, 1981, in Rolla, Mo., and passed away Oct. 30, 2009 in St. Louis, Mo. at the age of 27.
Josh was united in marriage to Angela Michelle (Shelby) Shepherd on Sept. 10, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nev., and to this union one child was born.
Josh attended both Rolla High School and John F. Hodge High School in St. James, and graduated from John F. Hodge High School in 2000. He was a member of the Rolla Lions Club.
He was also an endowed member of the Rolla Masonic Lodge No. 213, where he was a Past Worshipful Master of the lodge in 2007-2008.
Josh owned and operated Superior Crane Rental, and enjoyed being a member of the Ride Along Program with the Rolla Police Department.
He is survived by his wife Angela Shepherd of Rolla; son Joshua Ryan Shepherd Jr.; mother Renae Hammon of Rolla; father Lewis Shepherd of Rolla; brothers Tyler Shepherd & wife Stephanie of Rolla and Jason Shepherd & wife Heather of West Jordan, Utah; sister Lindsey Roesner and husband Kyle of Rolla; grandparents Carl & Audrey Shepherd of Dixon and Louise Parker of Richland; nephew Luke Shepherd and niece Brooke Shepherd along with many extended family and friends.
Josh is preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Asa Parker.
Services for Joshua Ryan Shepherd will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla with Pastor Chuck Whitmire and Pastor Eddie Jones officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, with a Masonic
Service at 7:30 p.m. at James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla.
Memorials are suggested to the Ryan Shepherd Scholarship Fund. Cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.
