Norma Elizabeth King, of Rolla, Mo., passed away Monday, June 29, 2009, at the age of 76.
Norma King was born on Aug. 6, 1932, in St. Charles, Mo., to the late Herbert Boschert and Emma (Knoubbe) Boschert.
On May 21, 1954, she married Harold King who preceded her in death in November, 2007.
Norma volunteered at the St. Patrick Catholic Church and the St. Patrick Catholic School. She loved watching her two grandchildren’s sporting events as well as watching Cardinal baseball and traveling with her friends in the Baptist’s Women’s Group.
She worked at the Phelps County Courthouse as a magistrate clerk and at Phelps County Bank for over 20 years.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Kirk Boschert.
She will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes one daughter, Bobbi Harper and husband, Mike of Columbia, Mo.; two brothers, Herb Boschert and wife, Delores of St. Charles, Mo., and Lloyd Boschert of St. Charles, Mo.; one sister, Vera Thro of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren, Shelby Harper and Grant Harper, both of Columbia, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rolla with Msgr. David Cox as the celebrant.
A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the Null and Son Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund or St. Patrick’s School.
