Vikkie Jean (Yates) Zinns of Rolla, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the age of 52 from complications of Muscular Dystrophy.

Vikkie was born Sept. 16, 1955, in Marshfield, Mo., to Freddy Yates and Betty (Harper) Volosin.  On Oct. 30, 2000, she married Michael Zinns.

She will be sadly missed her husband Michael Zinns; one daughter, Elizabeth Kathleen Reiman; her mother, Betty Volosin; stepfather, John Volosin; sisters, Robin (Yates) Harrison, Twyla Yates and Christy Volosin; brothers, Roger Yates and Johnny Volosin; two stepsons; Michael Zinns II of Texas and Israel D. Zinns of the Phillipines; one stepdaughter, Mary E. Zinns of Iowa; one brother-in-law, Robert F. Zinns II of Texas and two sisters-in-law, Mary T. Cuppy and Lynette Polkowske, both of Wisconsin and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her father, Freddy D. Yates and grandparents, Marvin and Dolly Yates and Oscar and Nola Harper of Birch Tree, Mo.

Vikkie was baptized in the Methodist church in Birch Tree when she was 12.
A private memorial service will be conducted at Betty Volosin’s residence at 207 Lovers Lane, Rolla, Mo., at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2008, with Pastor Chuck Whitmire officiating. Her ashes will be interred at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Winona, Mo. at a later date.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla.
