Constance “Connie” Sue Butler, of Rolla, passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at the age of 66.
She was born on Jan. 19, 1943, in Rolla, Mo., to Orville Brown and Marie (Lewis) Brown. Connie married Rod Butler on May 23, 1986, in Waynesville, Mo.
Connie was employed at WalMart for 11 years and then continued her career at UMR for another 11 years until her retirement.
She will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes her husband, Rod Butler of the home in Rolla; two sisters, Janet Work and husband, Bruce of Cuba, Mo., and Norma “Nickie” McDonald and husband, Joe of Woodstock, Ga.; stepson, Rodney Wayne Butler and wife, Stephanie of Columbia, Mo.; two step grandchildren, Katie and Erich Butler of Columbia, Mo.; mother-in-law, Sylvia Butler of Rolla, Mo.; brother-in- law, Russell Butler of Kent, Wash.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, beginning at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens in Rolla.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Phelps County Regional Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla.
