Eula Mae Davis Gable of Newburg, passed away Oct. 20, 2009, at the age of 89 years.
Eula Gable was born July 13, 1920, the daughter of Henry Davis and Corda Ellen Towell Davis.
Eula liked to sing, cook, and fish in her younger years. Eula loved her family, God and church — she was a member of the Newburg Church of God for many years.
Eula Gable was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene Gable, brothers Raymond, Leonard, Wilbur, Wilson, Edmond Dee Davis and infant brother Henry Jr. ; Eula Gable is survived by son J. Leon Gable and wife Carol of Newburg, daughter Deanna Walls and Lee of Villa Ridge, Mo., nine grandchildren: Greg, Rose, Tim, JoMarie, Gina, Deda, Doug, Cory, Amanda, two brothers: Larry Davis and wife Roberta of Rolla, Lester Davis and wife Betty of Rolla, three sisters: Roberta “Bodie” Roberts and Floyd of Rolla, Dorothy Daniels of Rolla, Rosemary Chambers and husband Don of St. James and 11 Great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Newburg Church of God in Newburg, Mo.
The funeral service will be Friday, at 11 a.m. at the Newburg Church of God in Newburg, Mo.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Phelps County Hospice. Interment will be at the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens in Rolla. All arrangements were made under the direction of the Teague And Sons Funeral Home in Newburg, Mo.
