Abner Carmack, of Rolla, Mo., passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at the age of 83.
Abner Carmack was born on April 26, 1926, in Lecoma, Mo., to the late Joseph Carmack and Lucy (Bates) Carmack.
He was the owner and operator of the Green Acres Grocery Store for 17 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
He will be sadly missed by his surviving family which includes one son, Terry Carmack and wife, Karen of Rolla, Mo.; one daughter, Susan Raines and special friend, T.J. Trentham of Rolla, Mo.; two brothers, Alfred Carmack and wife, Beauton of Rolla, Mo., and Joseph “Abe” Carmack of Lecoma, Mo.; one sister, Fredia Adamick of Rolla, Mo.; four grandchildren, Brian Carmack, Jason Carmack, Justin Carmack and Dustin Raines and three great granddaughters, Tori, Lauren and Kellie.
A visitation will be conducted from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
