Franklin Floyd “Frank” Putnam, Sr., 69, of Auxvasse, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at his residence surrounded by loving family.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20 at Memorial Funeral Home, with Chaplain Ken Greimann officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Frank was born on May 17, 1948, in Riverton, Wyo., the son of Estress and Lois (West) Putnam.

He was married on May 11, 1968, in Columbia to Rebecca Ann Williams, who survives at the home.

He worked for the City of Columbia for 47 years and 5 months. At the time of his death, he was the longest serving active employee for the City of Columbia.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grand-son.

Besides his wife, Frank is survived by, his father, Estress Putnam of Springfield, Ill.; his children, Emma Gaona of Callaway and Frank Putnam, Jr. and wife Dawn of Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Andy Schaefer, Anthony Schaefer, and Michael Putnam; great-grandson, Christopher Schaefer; sister, Esta England of Springfield, Ill.; and niece, Julie England and husband Tim.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Putnam; step-mother, Violet Putnam; and nephew, Anthony Putnam Gonzalez.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
