Orlando Anthony Grimmett, 33, Bowling Green, MO; Brandon Cory Smith, 24, Bowling Green, MO; Samantha Heck, 21, Bowling Green, MO; pleaded guilty earlier in the week.  Each defendant plead guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to possess pseudoephedrine knowing that it would be used to manufacture methamphetamine before United States District Judge Jean C. Hamilton.

Rachel Nichol Burns, 20, Troy, MO, faces the same charges and is scheduled for trial.

Each defendant faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.  Sentencings have been set for February 2 for Heck, others are January 29, 2010.

Reap commended the work on the case by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, the Troy, MO and the Hannibal, MO Police Departments, and the Lincoln County Narcotics Enforcement Team.

The charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations, and the remaining defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
