Page Mona Koontz, 19, of 411 Knight St., Lebanon, was charged by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s department with theft/stealing over $500 but under $25,000 — a class C felony.
On Jan. 19, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a theft of jewelry from a residence on Silver Lane near Waynesville.
The responding deputy was told by the homeowner that construction and cleaning crews had been in her home that day working on a project. The homeowner contacted the owners of both companies.
The owner of the cleaning company then contacted her employees who had been in the home. During a conversation with Koontz, the business owner noticed she was wearing a new ring. Further investigation revealed that the ring had allegedly been taken from the residence.
Additional investigation led to the recovery of several other pieces of jewelry from the suspect and the location of a pawn shop in Lebanon where the rest of the stolen goods had been pawned. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Pulaski County Jail for a 24-hour hold on a felony theft charge.
Koontz has been released after posting a $5,000 bond.
