St. John’s doctors and facilities will be part of the CIGNA HealthCare network effective Tuesday.

The contract agreement covers nearly 18,000 people in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. This will extend St. John’s services to area residents who participate in all of CIGNA’s insurance plans and residents covered by these plans will become eligible to receive care from any St. John’s hospital and physician.

Last week, St. John’s has entered into a new agreement with Tri-Care, the insurance company sanctioned by the U.S. military to provide health care insurance coverage to the service men and women, retired military personnel and their dependents.

Under the new agreement, St. John’s Clinic specialists in Lebanon and Rolla:  OB/GYNs, orthopedic surgeons and general surgeons; and St. John’s Clinic – St. Robert primary care physicians will be part of Tri-Care’s insurance network, effective Aug. 1.

St. John’s Hospital – Lebanon is already in network in the current contract.
