Finances once again will take center stage for the Rolla Public School district at its meeting tonight.

Graves and Associates, CPAs, LLC,  will have a representative on hand to discuss this past year’s financial audit.

Last year was an up and down year for the district, with deep concern over the financial situation before the fiscal year ended in June.

The district saw its finances improve toward the end of the fiscal year and the concerns were mostly put on the shelf.

Now, the district will be reviewing the whole of its financial practices from the last year.
Sticking with the review theme, principals from the three elementary schools and the Middle School will be on hand to discuss with the board their individual School Improvement Plans.

The Junior High and the High School will discuss their School Improvement Plans at a later meeting.

Also on the agenda, board members will be given details on the planned Prescription Take Back Day.

The event is being hosted by Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare Inc., along with Prevention Consultants of Missouri, the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri Department of Mental Health Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse.

The board meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the D. Kent King Administration Center.
