Tickets are now on sale for the 2008 St. James Chamber of Commerce Tour of Missouri Fundraiser which is to be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 28, at the St. James Golf Course.
Guest speaker for the event will be Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder.
St. James recently was named as a start location for the Sept. 12 for the Tour of Missouri professional cycling race, which has been classified as one of the nation's top three cycling races, ranking right behind the Tour of Georgia and Tour of California.
The St. James Chamber of Commerce and City of St James will be working together with Rolla as host sites for the event. Rolla will be a finish location on Sept. 11
Additional fundraising will be done with a silent auction at the luncheon.
Anyone wishing to make donations to the silent auction, may do so by contacting Jennie at the Chamber office at 111 S. Jefferson (Old City Hall), or calling her at 265-6649.
Please make plans to attend this special event.
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased in advance at the following locations: Simply Irresistible, 124 North Jefferson; Plaza Fashions, 115 West Springfield; Shelter Insurance, 318 North Jefferson; or at the Chamber office.
Reservations are required and ticket sales will be limited to the first 120 sold.
