Feeling a little water-logged? Well, we should.
While we have not had the winds associated with tropical storms, the incessant rains are remnants of Hurricane Gustav, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Kelsy Angle.
“All of this is residual moisture from Hurricane Gustav,” Angle said from the NWS office in Springfield. “Areas of the Ozarks have gotten rainfall, since Tuesday night, totaling about three to six inches.”
At Rolla National Airport in Vichy, Angle reported 2.8 inches of rain falling since Tuesday evening through 3 p.m. Thursday, or in about 45 hours.
