Rolla, Mo. -

Operation: Wounded Soldier, a Community Card Drive, is currently under way and collecting greeting cards for distribution to wounded soldiers throughout the United States.  The drive runs through Sept. 24.
The card drive is sponsored by the Phelps County Regional Medical Center (PCRMC) Service Heroes Committee, a front line, PCRMC employee committee.
“In the midst of our frenzied lives, it is easy to forget about the simple act of saying, ‘Thank you,’” said Charlene Rioux, coordinator for Organizational Development at PCRMC.  “Who has the opportunity to slow down for such pleasantries?  And yet, by donating cards to this drive, you have the opportunity to put a smile on the face of a wounded soldier.  You have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s day.”
