Local children are working with three of the ballerinas with the Von Heidecke’s Chicago Festival Ballet in this scene where the mice are holding Claire. Over 30 local children were cast for the parts of mice, angels and soldiers. The performance is Friday, Dec. at 7:30 p.m. at Leach Theatre.

It was a week of circumstance, with veterans at Missouri Veterans Home recognized during the POW/MIA ceremony, graduates at Metro Business College, Missouri's Champion Older Worker honored, officers announced at the 4-H Young Riders, and auditions and rehearsals taking place for the touring performance of the Nutcracker at Leach Theatre.
