The 19th Annual CORE Champions of Rolla Education Honors Banquet honored some 150 students in grades 10 through 12 for having scholastic grade point averages 3.8 or better.
CORE has been supporting Rolla Public School students through educational enrichment activities.
Monday night’s event opened with a welcome by Superintendent Dr. Jerry Giger and continued with CORE Board President Suzanne Vaughan and keynote speaker Ted Day, himself a Rolla High graduate, class of 1979.
Rolla Senior High Principal Nathan Hoven introduced each of the sophomores, juniors and seniors, who were in turn congratulated by Dr. Giger and Day for their academic excellence.
