The St. James volleyball team (5-14-2) traveled to New Haven on Thursday, Oct. 11. The Lady Tigers struggled to get in a rhythm, falling in straight sets.

The JV started the night by losing in straight sets 25-17, 25-11. The varsity couldn't get going in a 25-12, 25-8 loss in two sets. 

Serve receive errors hurt St. James all night long, as they committed 12 such errors in the contest. Mackenna Rodgers turned in a solid all-around performance with two kiss and a team-high four assists in the contest. Hannah Marcee led the team in kills with three, while adding the team's only ace and only solo block along with two assist blocks. Makayla Case added two more kills. Caily Sanders chipped in with two assists and a kill. 

The Class 3 District 10 seeds were also announced for St. James. The Lady Tigers are seeded fifth and will face the fourth seeded Union (5-21-1) on Monday, Oct. 22. The winner will play the top-seeded Sullivan Lady Eagles. 

St. James will play in the Linn Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 13, before hosting St. Clair for their regular season finale and Senior Night on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
