The Rolla soccer team (13-8, 6-1 OC) kept their hot streak going when they traveled down to Springfield Central on Thursday, Oct. 11. The Bulldogs had a big night from Carson Arnold on their way to a 6-2 win.

The first half was all Rolla, leading 3-0 in the opening half. That lead was out to 5-0, before a couple of late goals from Central. Rolla ended up winning the game 6-2.

The was an excellent game for Arnold, who was in his second game back after an extended health-related absence. He score three goals for a hat trick, while also dishing out an assist. Jarret Gabriele had another excellent game with three assists and a goal for the Bulldogs. Gabe Stanislawski and Adeeb Massri each added goals, while Mohammad Alamaldien chipped in with an assist.

The Bulldogs are rolling right now. Two weeks ago, they were sitting with a .500 record at 7-7. Since then, they've won six of their last seven games with the lone loss coming against the defending State Champs, Parkway Central, 2-1. Rolla has outscored opponents 36-6 in the last two weeks.

"It’s a good time of the year to start playing well," said Rolla head coach Mike Howard. "We jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the middle of the second half before giving up a couple goals. Central has some dangerous players, it was a good win for us. We have two more conference games to go, while we probably won’t win conference with the teams that Glendale has remaining to play we still have an opportunity to finish 8-1 and second in OC play."

The JV lost 1-0, bringing their record to 3-5-1.

Next up for the Bulldogs is a conference game at home against Camdenton on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
