The Rolla softball team wrapped up regular season with games on Saturday, Oct. 6 and Tuesday, Oct. 9.

The Lady Bulldogs were slated to host their annual tournament over the weekend, but Mother Nature had other plans and they were only able to play one game against Pacific in the tournament, which Rolla also used as a Senior Night for Cheyanne King and Chloe Wood. The game came down to a tiebreaker, which Pacific won 11-9. The Lady Bulldogs then played Sullivan on Tuesday, which they lost 16-11.

Pacific got out to a hot start on Saturday, but the Lady Bulldogs were able to slowly chip away. The Lady Indians scored four runs in the top of the first, but Rolla cut into that lead in the second with RBI from Jordan Watkins and Wood. Pacific then added to their lead in the fourth when Annie Mueller hit a two-run home run with two outs, stretching their lead to 6-2.

Pacific scored two more in the fifth, before the Lady Bulldogs started to chip away again. First Emalee Grooms launched a solo shot, before a two run double by Jordan Watkins, which cut the Pacific lead to 8-5.

Rolla was running out of time quite literally in the sixth, as the 90 minute time limit for the tournament was closing in. They were able to close the gap in the inning with two outs, as Keira Chrisco had an RBI, before Lauren Moresch reached on an error. Two runs were able to score on the error to tie the game at eight. The tiebreaker rules put a runner on second to start the seventh inning and Pacific was able to use the leadoff baserunner to win 11-9.

Watkins pitched a complete game for Rolla, allowing 11 runs on 11 hits and two walks, while striking out seven. She added two doubles and three RBI. Keira Chrisco, Moersch, Wood and Grooms each drove in runs in the loss.

Rolla then finished their regular season with a matchup against Sullivan on Tuesday. The Lady Bulldogs hit the ground running with a 3-1 lead through an inning of play. They added to that lead in the third with RBI singles by Moersch and Watkins. A Sullivan home run in the top of the fourth cut the Rolla lead to 5-3, but Moersch was able to stretch that lead back out with a two-out RBI single over the head of the Sullivan pitcher.

The Lady Bulldogs were in the driver's seat in the fifth, adding four more runs. First Kassidy Chrisco had an RBI single, before a two-run single from Grooms. Keira Chrisco then drove in one more with a double, stretching the Rolla lead to 10-3. After that, it all went down hill for Rolla. They scored just one more run, as Sullivan hit their stride to the tune of 10 runs in two innings on their way to a 16-11 win over the Lady Bulldogs.

Watkins started for Rolla, allowing 16 hits and six walks, while striking out six. Makenzie McCarter and Moersch both pitched in relief. Keira Chrisco had three extra base hits in the game with a triple and two doubles, while driving in two runs. Moersch led the offense with three RBI. Grooms drove in two, while Kassidy Chrisco, Madison Mace, Watkins and Reagan Reedy each drove in one.

The JV bounced back to win 10-5. Riley Wassilak started, while Harmon pitched two innings in relief. The Lady Bulldogs had a home run from Ramona Giddens in the fourth, while Fiona Giddens and Alexa Foltz each added two RBI. Laney Hoffman, Zoey Barr and Sheradyn Kartchner each added RBI in the win.
