The Rolla volleyball team (22-8-1) hosted Hillcrest for an Ozark Conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The Lady Bulldogs took care of business at all three levels, winning in two sets in the varsity, JV and freshmen matches.

The freshmen set the tone for the night with a 25-19. 25-17 win, before the JV won in straight sets 25-12, 25-12. The varsity then made quick work of Hillcrest 25-14, 25-19.

Rebecca Janke led the Rolla offense with 12 kills on the night, while adding 2.5 total blocks and four digs. Shelby Ply added eight more kills, an ace, two assists, .5 blocks and three digs. Megan Brown chipped in six kills and two digs. Loran Pritchett led the team in assists with 16, while adding three kids, a kill and .5 blocks. Sophie Parsons added nine more assists, 10 digs, a kill and .5 blocks. Sophie Moreland had an ace, an assist and three digs, while Parker Bourne added a kill and a dig. Sydney Hulbert added a kill and two digs, Kayla Copeland chipped in with a pair of digs and Maddie Lucas added another dig.

Rolla only has three matches left in the regular season with their next match coming on Thursday with a trip to Waynesville for another Ozark Conference match. The Lady Bulldogs will also soon have their District seeding released, but it's tight competition for the top spots. Despite having 22 wins, the Lady Bulldogs could be seeded as low as fifth out of six thanks to a combination of good records and the fact that the teams rarely face each other in the regular season.
