The Rolla soccer team (12-8, 5-1 OC) hosted Lebanon for an Ozark Conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The Bulldogs scored in the second minute and never slowed down in a 10-0 mercy rule win.
Rolla got off to a fast start against Lebanon, scoring twice in the first five minutes. First Jarret Gabriele scored an unassisted goal in the second minute, before Tobenna Orizu scored on his Senior Spotlight night off an assist from Adeeb Massri in the third minute. Gabriele scored his second goal soon after, scoring in the 12th minute off an assist from Carson Arnold, who was playing his first game in over a week. Quincy Cummings then scored his first goal of the season in the 18th minute off an assist from Gabriele. Gabriele capped off his hat trick in the 23rd minute off an assist from Mohammad Alamaldien.
The Rolla offense kept rolling in the 27th minute, as Arnold scored off a pass from Massri. Gabe Stanislawski then scored his first goal of the game in the 34th minute off a pass from Alamaldien. Gabriele then scored his fourth goal of the opening half in the 37th minute off another Alamaldien assist. Rolla lead 8-0 at the half.
The Bulldogs scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half to finish off the 10-0 win. Both goals were scored by Zach Pendleton in the 43rd and 46th minutes. Gabe Stanislawski assisted the first, while Alamaldien assisted the second. Erique Cezar got the shutout in goal for the Bulldogs.
Rolla also won the JV game 3-0 to improve their record to 3-4-1. Colin McEnaney got the shutout in goal. Jack Gesualdi, Sammy Massri and Evan Colench each scored for the Bulldogs.
Next up for Rolla is a trip to Springfield Central on Thursday, Oct. 11 for another Ozark Conference match.
