Rolla Public Schools reported a brief power outage this morning. The Rolla Fire Department and Rolla Police Department responded. According to Rolla Superintendent, Dr. Aaron Zalis, the outage was caused by electrical transformers, which made air conditioners burn through several belts.

While first responder personnel ensure the safety of the building, the students have been temporarily moved to other schools.

Fourth graders have been moved to Mark Twain Elementary, and fifth graders have been moved to the Junior High.

Dr. Zalis said that food preparation began early in the morning, and the food has been moved to the other locations to ensure each student receives lunch.
