The temperature is set to be in the 90s throughout this week, and the rise in the globally averaged temperature shows that more areas are warming than cooling, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
So when the humidity and temperatures become too unbearable here are 3 places that will relieve the swampy conditions that come along with the summer in Phelps County, and be sure to grab the sunscreen and stay hydrated.

CostA season pass for a family, up to 5 members, is $175 for non-members. An individual pass for non-members is $90. For Centre members, the cost is $70. Each additional child is $10 and each additional adult 18 and over is $15. Daily admission is $5, except for children age 3 and under, who can get in for free. People also can buy value packs, which are good for 18 visits, for $75.
HoursWeekday hours are from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Hours on Saturdays and Sundays will be from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
What SplashZone OffersA leisure pool with a beach-like entrance. Underwater benches, water slides, and a lazy river. Private pool rentals and swimming lessons and a birthday party package. The pool has a heater to maintain the pool temperature.

Location16875 County Road. Turn right at County Road 5285. County Road 5285 makes a short 'horseshoe' road back to Hwy 72. The entrance to the Fugitive Beach is on this horseshoe.
CostMonday through Thursday entry to the beach is $8 per person 11 and older, and entry for children 10 and younger is $5. Friday, Saturday and Sunday entry to the beach is $10 per person 11 and older, and entry for children 10 and younger is $6. Holiday pricing is $10 per person 11 and older, and entry for children 10 and younger is $6. No cost for parking.
HoursSeven days a week, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until Aug. 12, 2018. After August 12, Fugitive Beach will be open on weekends only. The hours will remain 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for Labor Day Monday -- the last day of operation for 2018.

What The Centre OffersYoga, Zumba, Tai Chi, Live Fit Cycling, among numerous classes found on the calendar page or The Centre’s free mobile app. Provide fitness for everyone in the community with lap lanes in the indoor pool, a workout facility, swim classes and dance workouts. The Centre’s free app has fitness classes and a description, records workouts, allows a person to reserve courses, along with a multitude of The Centre related activities. Stay-N-Play to better provide parents or guardians with small children the opportunity to participate in services and programs where an on-site babysitting service is offered. And a wide variety of entertainment for children ages 3 months to 8 years old. Each child is allowed up to a 2-hour maximum visit. The parent or guardian must remain in the facility to use this service.
