The Rolla tennis team wrapped up their regular season in Individual Districts on Saturday, May 12. The Bulldogs nearly had one qualifier, but fell a match short.
Pranal Madria was the top finisher for Rolla, placing third in singles. Blake Riedle and Ethan Walker lost early after being seeded against a tough pair from Springfield Central. The other doubles team of Josiah Homan and Joel Schott had to face the top seed, but still managed to putt out wins in each set before ending their run. Micah Martin won his first round matchup over Hillcrest, but lost to the fourth seed from Central.
Rolla also had their awards night on Tuesday. Riedle earned the Bulldog Award for the varsity, as well as earning All-Conference honors. Walker was named the MVP of the team, while Homan was named the Most Improved Player. Academic All-Conference honors were given to Madria, Sean Kim, Schott and Jacob Lenox, while honorable mentions for Academic All-Conference was awarded to Walker, Homan and Monty Jawad.
The JV also had a set of award winners. Ethan Wang earned the Bulldog Award, while Owen Akins was named MVP. Evan Barth was named the Rising Star for the JV.
