The Rolla soccer team (11-7) kicked off their busy week with a trip to Jefferson City on Monday, April 30. The Lady Bulldogs have been up and down in their scoring efforts this season and they couldn't find the goal that would keep them in the ballgame in a 2-0 loss to the Lady Jays.

Jeff City scored two minutes into the game to put Rolla on their heels from jump street. The Lady Bulldogs tried to find a response, but no matter what adjustments they made, they just couldn't find a goal. The score remained at 1-0 until the 77th minute, when Jeff City scored again to seal a 2-0 win.

The Lady Bulldog JV was also shutout 1-0, falling to 3-5-4 on the season.

Rolla doesn't have much time to dwell on the loss, as they turned around to host Ozark Conference rival Glendale on Tuesday. Both teams are undefeated in the Ozark Conference, so the game will play a key role in determining the winner of the conference. The week doesn't get any easier after that, as Rolla travels to Kickapoo on Thursday. Like Rolla and Glendale, Kickapoo remains defeated in the Ozark Conference.

"We fell behind early and then were forced to move people around to try and score. It was a tough night for us," said head coach Mike Howard. "We have to regroup quick and get ready for Glendale."
