Q: Where were you born?
A: I was born in St. Louis.
Q: Who had the greatest influence on you during your childhood?
A: My grandpa. He was one of the people who fed my love for playing and watching sports.
Q: What are you most proud of?
A: I'm proud of all of my work, particularly my photography.
Q: What is your philosophy to life?
A: To try to bring whatever joy I can into the lives of others.
Q: Where did you go to high school and college?
A: I went to St. Louis University High School and Mizzou.
Q: What might someone be surprised to know about you?
A: While I'm the sports editor, I'm also a big nerd. I'm a huge fan of Star Wars and comics.
Q: What drew you to Rolla?
A: I didn't necessarily know what I was getting myself into when I moved here, but the people I get to the chance to meet have been the best part of Rolla for me.
Q: When did you start at The Rolla Daily News?
A: I started in August of 2017.
Q: How did you get into your career path, and why?
A: I love sports, but wasn't necessarily the best at playing them, so the next logical choice was to watch them for a living.
Q: What was a life-defining moment that shaped you into the person you are today?
A: I don't know that I have a specific moment, but my journalism classes at Mizzou opened my eyes to what it really takes to be a journalist and changed how I look at my profession.
Q: Who or what is your favorite musician or song?
A: That's a tough one, I love such a wide variety of music, but the band that I've loved the longest is probably Metallica.
Q: What are your hobbies or passions?
A: Sports, film and video games.
Q: Where is your favorite place and why?
A: Busch Stadium. There's nothing better than watching a game in Baseball Heaven.
Q: What cause are you most passionate about?
A: I'm very passionate about my support of women.
