The Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscaster Association Central District announced their All-District basketball teams this morning. Several local players earned spots on the teams, as Rolla, St. James and Newburg all had both boys and girls players named to the teams.

Rolla boys:

Three Rolla boys were named to the All-District team. There was only one team named for Class 4 with seniors Josh Pritchett and Nick Janke being joined by junior Alec Buhr on the All-District team. Pritchett led area Class 4 scorers with 20.5 points per game (ppg) this season, while adding 5.3 rebounds a game (rpg), 3.6 assists per game (apg) and just under two steals a game (spg). Buhr was another great scoring threat for Rolla this season, scoring 13.8 ppg to go along with 5 rpg. Janke 8 ppg this season with a team-high 6.8 rpg. 

Rolla head coach Mark Miller also earned Coach of the Year honors after leading his team to a District Championship.

Rolla girls: 

Two Lady Bulldogs earned spots on the All-District team. Rebecca Janke and Ellie Rodgers represented the stellar class of Rolla sophomores on the team. Janke nearly averaged a double-double for Rolla with 9.7 ppg and 8 rpg. Rodgers averaged double figures for Rolla on the year with 11.9 ppg, 2.9 assists per game and 1.8 spg.

St. James boys:

Class 3 had a first and second team, with a total of three Tigers making those teams. Bailey Terrill and Ryan Harlan both earned first team spots, while Ivan Fuhring was named to the second team. All three Tigers were seniors this season. Harlan led St. James offensively with 13.5 ppg, while also pulling down 2.6 rpg and 2.5 apg. Terrill had 11.1 ppg for St. James this season to go along with a team high 6.3 rpg and 1.2 apg. Fuhring rounds out the Tigers to earn honors after scoring 13.1 ppg, averaging 5 rpg and 1.6 apg. 

St. James girls: 

Bailey Wells was the only Lady Tiger to earn an All-District nod, making the second team. She was second on the team in scoring with 7 ppg, while leading St. James in rebounding, assists and steals with 5.5 rpg, 3.6 apg and 2.8 spg. 

Newburg boys:

Class 2 also had two teams named, with the Newburg boys represented on both the first and second teams. Ryan Terry earned a first team spot for the Wolves after leading Newbur giwth 19 ppg this season. He also added 6.8 rpg, 4.5 apg and 2.9 spg. Landen Callahan earned a second team spot after scoring 16.5 ppg this season to go along with 4.2 rpg, 3.6 apg on the year. 

Newburg girls:

Newburg had one player earn an All-District honor, as Kylee Brookshire claimed a spot on the first team. The senior averaged a double-double with 16.4 ppg and 10.3 rpg to go along with 2.6 blocks a game and 2.4 spg.
