The Missouri Media All-State football teams were announced this week. Rolla and St. James each had two players named to All-State. The Bulldogs also worked their way onto the final All-State rankings for Class 4, earning the ninth spot in the top 10 after playing in the State Semi-Final.
Rolla had a first and second teamer on the Media All-State team this season. Blaize Klossner earned a spot on the first team as a wide receiver. Klossner was a jack of all trades for Rolla this season, catching 103 passes for 1,196 yards and 10 touchdowns, rushing for another 424 yards and five scores, while even managing to throw for three touchdowns. Klossner had great offensive numbers despite also playing just about every defensive snap and racking up 93 tackles and a team-high four interceptions.
Josh Pritchett, the senior quarterback throwing to Klossner, earned a spot on the second team. Pritchett was incredible this season, throwing for 3,174 yards, 24 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, while completing 66.6 percent of his passes. Pritchett was also a dominant dual threat option this season, rushing for another 1,735 yards and 26 touchdowns. He rushed for at least 100 yards in 11 games this season.
Both of St. James' players on the Media All-State team earned second team honors, one for each side of the ball. Grant Conway earned a spot on the offensive side of the ball after leading St. James with 875 yards this season. Conway was able to use his electric speed this season to either run himself open or take a short pass and take it to the house. Conway caught a team-high 13 touchdowns this season and also managed to throw for one on a double pass.
Defensively, Nick Wilson was named to the All-State second team as a D-lineman. The senior defensive end was a sack machine this season, as he led the Four Rivers Conference with 11 sacks. He had 52 tackles on the season and recovered a pair of fumbles.
Rolla was also able to earn a spot in the final State rankings, finishing the year in ninth place. This was the first time Rolla was in the top 10 this season. The full Class 4 to 10 can be found below.
