Ozark Actors Theatre will present their fall community production It’s a Wonderful Life – The Musical, with book and lyrics by James W. Rodgers and Music by John Higgins, based on the film by Frank Capra. The show is being directed by Ozark Actors Theatre Artistic Director A.S. Freeman and runs November 9 through 19 at the Cedar Street Playhouse, 701 North Cedar, Rolla, MO 65401.

The production stars 31 local performers, and brings the holiday classic to life on stage with delightful music, dancing, and all of the spirit that audiences will remember from the film. The show is Music Directed by Jeff Williams, and features choreography from Julia Wiegart, who last choreographed at OAT for this past summer’s smash hit, Footloose.

“The fall community production is not only a great tradition, it’s central to the educational portion of our mission,” says Artistic Director A.S. Freeman, “this is an excellent opportunity for the many talented members of this community who either aren’t ready for our summer professional season, or because of work constraints, aren’t able to audition. With this production, we’re striving to replicate the professional experience in as many ways as possible. I couldn’t be prouder of the work that this large cast of locals has put on stage.”

It’s a Wonderful Life—the Musical is generously sponsored by the winter season sponsors of Ozark Actors Theatre. The show runs November 9-19: Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30, Saturdays at 2pm and 7:30pm, and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are available at www.OzarkActorsTheatre.org or by calling (573) 264-9523.
