ROLLA, Mo. – Following a fourth place finish at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships, Missouri S&T's men's cross country team has returned to the top 10 in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region in the new rankings released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Miners are ranked ninth in this week's ranking after their strong performance at the GLVC Championships in Kirksville, Mo., over the weekend, as S&T's top five runners all finished among the top 34 in the 144-runner race.  The fourth place was the best for the Miners at a conference meet in six seasons.

Earlier this season, the Miners broke into the regional rankings at No. 10 – the first regional ranking since 2012 for S&T – after they finished third among the NCAA Division II schools at the Greater Louisville Classic.

Missouri S&T's next outing will be at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional on Nov. 4 in Cedarville, Ohio.
