The All-Conference and District teams have been announced for St. James softball and the Lady Tigers are well represented on both teams. Three St. James players were named both All-District and All-Conference, while an extra player was named All-Conference.
St. James had four players named to the Four Rivers All-Conference team. Mikaela Donnelly was the lone first teamer after batting .469 on the year with 23 RBI, 22 runs scored and a slugging percentage of .609. She also had a team-high three triples, swiped six bases and struck out just five times all season. Donnelly was also named first team All-District.
Next up was Hunter Pitts, who was named first team All-District and second team All-Conference. Pitts hits .410 on the season, while leading St. James in hits (32) and RBI (26), while tying for the team lead in runs scored (26). Pitts also had a team high 10 doubles on the season, tied for the team lead in steals with 10 and matched Donnelly's low strikeout number with five.
The final player on both the All-District and Conference teams was Kayla Hamilton. The senior pitcher started 24 of St. James' 26 games this season and pitched a staggering 131 2/3 innings. The next highest inning count for a Lady Tiger was 8 1/3 innings. She maintained an ERA of 1.04 on the season and struck out seven batters a game. Her strikeout total on the year was 132 Hamilton ended the season with a record of 13-11 and pitched 18 complete games. She will be the only All-District or All-Conference player in this year's graduating class.
Baylee Ambrose was also named to the All-Conference second team for St. James. She had a strong year for the Lady Tigers, batting .310, knocking in 11 runs and scoring 14 times. Ambrose had four doubles on the season and was a perfect 4-4 stealing bases.
Sullivan's Addison Purvis was named the Four Conference Player of the Year.
