In the women's five-kilometer race, the Lady Miners had six of their eight runners finish among the top 10 overall, led by Hannah Shearer (Conroe, TX/The Woodlands Christian Academy) in second place with a time of 19:06.  Shearer ran neck-and-neck with race winner Caitlin Hammons from the Mizzou Running Club for much of the race before Hammons broke free and won by 19 seconds.

Megan Schulte (Columbia, MO/Rock Bridge) finished fourth overall in 19:25, while Katelyn Fricke (Brimfield, IL/Brimfield) crossed the finish line right behind her in 19:42 and Kennedy Duffy (Rochester, IL/Rochester) was seventh in 19:58.  Kala Morgan(Broken Arrow, OK/Broken Arrow) completed S&T's top five she placed eighth in 20:14, with Anne Vernon (Neosho, MO/Neosho) finishing 10th in 20:55.

The Lady Miners finished with 24 points in the meet to end up 34 points in front of the Mizzou Running Club for the team title.  It was the first team title for the Lady Miners since they captured the Forest Park Invitational last September.
