Taylor Gausepohl, 20, of St. James, won first place and was named Miss Street Machine Nationals Saturday, September 23 in Springfield, Mo.
The Street Machine Nationals car show, presented by American National and sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Parts, was held at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield with 1,200 street machines participating.
Taylor is a homeschool graduate of 2016. She works as a cake decorator at Heavenly Divine Cakes in Rolla and also has her own business called Taylor-Made Confections. She is currently enrolled at ECC and is also in a cosmetology apprenticeship. The contest was run in two rounds which included a biography introduction round and a mystery question round. The 15 contestants were judged on poise, personality, pin-up outfit and audience appeal.
Taylor won a trophy (with auto pin striping added to it by famous pin striper Von Hot Rod) and $250.
