Men's League softball hosted by Rolla Parks and Rec was back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 26. The runs were flying across the league, as all but one of the games played on Tuesday had at least one of the teams scoring in double

The night of softball started with a great performance by Line to Line on Morgan Field. They faced off against One the Run and lit up the scoreboard. Line to Line smashed in five runs in the first, two in the second, six in the third, seven in the fourth and three more in the fifth to run away with a 23-12 victory over On the Run. Line to Line mashed four home runs, two of which came in the first inning by Brett Day and Chad Henson. Arron Crews added a dinger in the second and Bubba Furse knocked one over the fence in the fourth.

The second game on Morgan Field saw a matchup between Huffman Lawn and Landscaping and DMP. Huffman smacked four home runs by Tyler Sinnott, Craig Penley, Mike Sparks and Duane Spurgeon on their way to a 21-12 route. Huffman scored in chunks with six runs in the second, seven in the third and four in the fifth on their way to the win.

The final game on Morgan Field came between DMP and Futures. DMP avenged their loss against Huffman earlier in the evening. The fourth inning ended with DMP leading 13-11 thanks to an eight run third inning. DMP added to that lead with a run in the fifth, while Futures closed the gap with two runs in the bottom of the frame. DMP sealed their win with two runs in the top of the sixth, while holding Futures scoreless in the bottom of the frame to walk away with a 16-13 win.

The only game that didn't feature a double digit scoring team was the first game on the second field between Naturals and Extreme Accessories. Naturals scored seven runs in the second inning to propel themselves to a 9-6 win. The Naturals didn't have the same luck in their second game against On the Run. On the Run held onto an 8-6 lead going into the final inning before mashing in seven runs in the seventh to put a cherry on top of a 15-6 win.

The second field of games was capped off by Line to Line against Extreme Accessories. Line to Line smacked in 11 runs in the final two innings on their way to a 16-13 win.

Blue Fish kicked off the final field of games with a 13-10 victory over Miller 64, steadily scoring in every inning of their win. Salem Ave Baptist then used an eight-run fourth inning to beat Fidelity 12-9.

The closest game of the night was between Dinger? I Hardly Knew Her and Hung Jury. Dinger got out to a strong lead with five runs in the first inning. They maintained that lead throughout the game, but Hung Jury got within two runs, as the score sat at 6-4. Hung Jury scored twice in the sixth, but Dinger knocked in five runs in the bottom of the inning to stretch their lead out to 11-6. Hung Jury scored four in the seventh to get within one, but they couldn't finish off the comeback in an 11-10 loss. The night ended on a positive note for Hung Jury, as they beat All n All 15-9 thanks to a five-run first and a six run third.
