Fresh off a third place finish in the Rolla Invitational, the Lady Bulldog volleyball team played at Owensville on Monday, Sept. 25. After the freshman and JV teams fell in straight sets, the Rolla varsity fought through a tough first set on their way to a 25-23, 25-16 win.

Rolla fought through some passing and serving issues in the first set, but they were able to get into a grove as the set continued on their way to a 25-23 win. The momentum from the win carried into the second set and the Lady Bulldogs cruised to a 25-16.

"The second set we completely took control from start to finish against a nice Owensville team," said head coach Stephanie Pritchett. "We had some great defensive plays and offensively we played much better."

The freshmen lost their match 12-25, 21-25, while the JV fell 16-25, 22-25.

Next up for the Lady Bulldogs is an Ozark Conference matchup against Lebanon on Thursday, Sept. 28 for their Paint It Pink Night.
