The Rolla soccer team (12-2, 3-0 OC) made the quick trip down to Waynesville for an Ozark Conference matchup on Monday, Sept. 25. Rolla had another great game offensively on their way to a 6-0 win over the Tigers.

It took the Bulldogs a couple of minutes to get going on Monday, but once they started scoring they opened the floodgates. Jarret Gabriele got the Bulldogs on the board off an assist by Nick Janke in the 17th minute to kick things off. Just two minutes later, Evan Moore scored off an assist by Jayson Ross to push the lead to 2-0. Gabe Stanislawski added a goal on a penalty kick in the 27th minute to give Rolla a 3-0 lead a the half.

Rolla kept rolling in the second half when Mohamed Alamaldiem scored on an assist from Janke four minutes into the half. Gabriele added his second goal of the game in the 50th minute off another assist by Ross, extending the lead to 5-0. Janke was able to find the back of the net in the 59th minute off an assist by Stanislawski to put the cap on a 6-0 victory.

Drew Blair recorded his sixth shutout of the season and his 31st of his career. He is now four shy of tying the school record for shutouts. 

The JV lost their matchup with the Tigers 1-0, bringing their season record to 2-2-1. 

"It was nice to get everyone so much playing time in a conference game," said head coach Mike Howard. "Our games with Waynesville have been close lately and they are having a good season so it was nice to see the guys come out and play focused.” 

Next up for Rolla is a varsity only matchup with Hillcrest on Wednesday, Sept. 27 on their home field.
