The Rolla softball team (2-16) faced off against Crocker on Friday, Sept. 22 after their Thursday game against Lebanon was postponed due to excessive heat. The Lady Bulldogs struggled on Friday, falling 11-4.

Rolla had a slew of defensive issues against Crocker, committing six errors in the loss. Those errors led to three unearned runs. Emalee Grooms toed the rubber for the Lady Bulldogs, pitching a complete game, allowing nine earned runs on 10 hits, four walks, two hits batters and one strikeout. 

Cheyanne King lead the team offensively with an two run double. Maycie Montgomery scored twice, going 1-2 with two walks. Kristynn Hufford, Alex Kitchens and Hannah Beucler each chipped in with a base hit. 

The JV lost their matchup with Crocker 6-5, with Bailey Pierce taking the loss on the mound. Makenzie Proffitt, Kendra Cameron, Fionna Giddens, Kendall Wyatt and Mikah Allison each scored a run for Rolla.

Rolla followed that game with a matchup against Waynesville on Monday, Sept. 25, but results were not available at press time. The Lady Bulldogs have a busy week, as they'll play every day through Saturday. Next up is a trip to Glendale on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
