The Rolla girls golf team played in the MSU Relays at Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield on Thursday, Sept. 14. Rolla was not able to record a team score, as Audrey Roberts was unable to attend the tournament. Despite not recording a team score, Rolla had two individual career bests.
Marliere Toothaker set her new career low score by shooting in the 80's for the first time with an 87. Jesse Coverdell also had a career low day with a 110, which is a five stroke improvement over her previous best. Audrey Collier rounded things out with a solid score of 94.
Camdenton's Amber Wilson was the medalist for the even with a two-under par 69. Springfield Catholic had the top team score by shooting a 370. They beat West Plains by one stroke to win the event.
Rolla followed the event with a match against Waynesville on Friday, but results were not available at press time. Next up is a trip to Joplin for the Ozark Conference Tournament on Monday, Sept. 18.
