The Missouri S&T women's golf team shot a second round score of 329 and moved up two spots to finish in a tie for fifth with a score of 663 at the Screaming Eagle Golf Classic at Cambridge Golf Course in Evansville, Ind., on Monday. The Lady Miners had two players finish in the top 11 with Tylor Whitley (Raleigh, N.C./Garner) finishing seventh and Taylor Ornelas (Whittier, Calif./La Serna) at tied for 11th.

Whitley entered Monday's second round in fifth after shooting four over par in the opening round on Sunday afternoon. She finished her second round with a score of 80 (+8). Ornelas bounced back after shooting a 12 over on Sunday to shoot four over on Monday and moved up 14 spots from her first round total. Ornelas shot the third lowest second round score of all the participants in the meet.

Katie Hamilton (Republic, Mo./Republic) carded a two round total of 170, Karson Kimsey(Sautee Nacoochee, Ga./White County) shot a 177 (88-89) while Anna Reisinger(Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) finished the two day event with a 179 (89-90). Riley McFarlane (McKinney, Texas/McKinney North), competing as an individual, shot an 81 in the opening round and a 90 in round two to finish in a tie for 36th with a score of 171.

S&T will host its first home event this Sunday in the Miner Golf Classic at Oak Meadows Country Club beginning at 10:30 a.m.
