The co-ed softball league hosted by Rolla Parks and Rec kicked off their fall season on Thursday, Sept. 7. Eight games were played on Thursday night, with a majority of those games ending in blowouts.

The first field of games started with a matchup between Ink Monkeys and Not Forgotten. The Ink Monkeys scored eight runs in the first inning on their way to an easy 14-5 win. Their offense ran out when they followed that game with a matchup against S&J Construction. S&J was consistent all night long on their way to a 15-7 victory. The final game on that field was slated to be Gresham Backhoe against Dirty Dawgs, but Dirty Dawgs was a no show.

The second field of games started with another blowout. Angels Among Us smashed Soft Serve 15-3 thanks to a five-run first and a six run third. Soft Serve got their revenge against Pitch Me Outside with a dominant 16-1 win. Pitch Me Outside followed that up with a loss to Central MO Sportscards 17-6.

The third field of games saw the closes games of the night. Stuff N Stuff/Glove Your Attitude faced off against Pitch Me Outside (Cherry) and it came down to the final inning. With the game locked at five going into the seventh Pitch Me Outside scored twice in the top of the inning to take the lead. Stuff N Stuff/Glove Your Attitude could only get one run across to take a 7-6 loss. Stuff N Stuff had another nail-biter in their second game against Curts Mobile Homes. Each team had a big inning, with Curts scoreing six in the second and Stuff N Stuff scoring eight in the fifth. The big inning by Stuff N Stuff gave them a two run lead going into the sixth. Curts tied the game at 12 in the top of the sixth, but Stuff N Stuff scored twice in the bottom of the frame to take a 14-12 win. Pitch Me Outside won their final game of the night when they beat Angels Among Us 15-10 thanks to six runs in the second, four in the third and five in the fourth.
