The Men's softball league hosted by Rolla Parks and Rec had a lighter schedule on Tuesday, July 18 with six games getting played at Ber Juan Park.
Larson Construction opened up the night against Cheap and Easy, getting out to a hot start with two runs in the first. Cheap and Easy came back with two runs of their own in the second, but Larson took over after that. They scored one in the third, four in the fourth and five in the fifth. Cheap and Easy made an attempt at a comeback with three in the fifth and four in the sixth, but they fell short in a 12-9 loss.
Larson then played in a nail-biter in their second game against Hung Jury, getting out to an early 10-3 lead through the third inning. Hung Jury punched back with a nine-run second inning and the game went into the fifth inning with Larson clinging to a 15-13 lead. Hung Jury made one final push in the fifth, scoring three runs to pull out a come from behind 16-15 win.
Cheap and Easy's luck in their second game mirrored their first. They faced off against McDonalds and were thrashed 13-4.
The games at Morgan Field kicked off with Futures against For Your Consideration. Futures controlled the game from jump street with a 10-0 lead through three innings on their way to a 16-7 win.
On the Run then smashed Sakelaris Ford 19-2 in the second game on the second field of games. On the Run kept it rolling against Futures, cruising to a 14-9 victory thanks to a six-run third and a five-run fifth.
