The Licking boys and girls basketball camps came to Rolla and St. James the last two weekends on June 9-10 and June 15-17. The previous week's camp information has not been fully released, as the boys camp results and All-Camp team have not been posted.
The girls camp from June 9-10 saw one local athlete on the All-Camp team, as St. James' Savanna Riccetti earned a spot on the team. The bracket play had several games involving local squads. The Rolla and St. James Junior High teams faced off in bracket play, with Rolla winning 51-30. The St. James JV also faced Fatima's JV, losing 38-24. Other games included Tuttle, OK beating East Buchanan 56-48, Sullivan beating Paris 57-51 and Tuttle JV beating Centralia's ninth graders 44-25. Sullivan's Bria Jones and Tuttle's Maddie Wall were named co-MVPs.
The girls camp on June 15-17 saw no local players on the All-Camp team, but the Rolla had two junior high teams in bracket play. Their first junior high team fell to Siloam Springs, AR Freshmen 37-33. Their second team beat Brownstown-St. Elmo, IL 41-35. Other games included St. Louis Metro beating Fair Grove 42-36, Salisbury beating Brownstown 52-26, Blue Eye beating Siloam Springs 47-36 and the Marmaduke, AR JV beating the Siloam Springs JV 46-45. St. Louis Metro's Brooke Flowers was named MVP.
In this weekend's boys camp, Rolla stole the show. Their varsity team beat Fair Grove in bracket play 77-70, while their JV beat Salem's JV 60-44. Josh Pritchett was named the tournament's MVP, while Blaize Klossner was also named to the All-Camp team.
