The St. James soccer team (6-8, 1-4) hosted Owensville for a Four Rivers Conference game on Thursday, April 20. Quinn Paulus continued her dominant month of April as she recorded her third hat trick in five games in a 4-0 win over the Lady Dutchmen.
St. James got the scoring started in the first half with goals at the 15 and 30 minute marks. Paulus had a goal and an assist in the opening half, dishing out a pass to Mikaela Donnelly for a goal alongside her own. Tylar Reeves started the game in goal and recorded the first half shutout before handing things over to Ivy Fowler in the second.
Paulus kept going in the second with two more goals in the 45th and 70th minutes to round out her hat trick. She scored two of her three goals unassisted, while Ashlyn Rinehart assisted another. Fowler recorded a shutout in the second half to finish off the 4-0 win. Both keepers were each faced with a handful of shots to turn away in their shutout halves.
St. James will next host Belle on Tuesday, April 25.
