The Rolla soccer team (6-2-1, 3-0 OC) continued their dominance in the Ozark Conference with their second mercy rule win over a conference opponent with a 10-0 win over Hillcrest Tuesday, April 11. It was also a Senior Spotlight for the Lady Bulldogs. Aly Melson was highlighted and had the start in the win.

Rolla didn't much time to get going, as they scored their first goal in just 15 seconds off the foot of Olivia Gonzales. She was assisted by Morgan Gabriele. Gonzales then dished an assist to Addy Brow for their second goal of the game in the seventh minute to push the lead to 2-0.

Gabriele then went on an absolute tear. She scored her first two goals in the 12th and 20th minutes, with Gonzales assisting her on the first and Allie Pernicka assisting her on the second. After Elsa Wise scored off an assist from Ellie Rodgers in the 28th minute, Gabriele knocked in two more goals to bring her game total to four. Brow set her up with an assist on her third goal of the game, while Michelle Kean assisted her on the fourth.

Gonzales knocked in her second goal of the game in the 38th minute, stretching the Rolla lead to 8-0 going into the second half.

The Lady Bulldogs didn't need much of the second half to finish off the win. Brow scored her second goal four minutes into the half and Gonzales finished off her hat-trick a few minutes later to finish off the 10-0 win.

At the end of the day, Gabriele scored four goals and had one assist. Gonzales was right behind her with three goals and dished out two assists. Brow had two goals and an assist with Wise scoring the other goal. Pernicka had two assists in the win, while Rodgers, Kean and Ryleigh Grommet each had an assist of their own.

Kelly Cates earned the shutout in net, her fifth of the season.
