Local runners Izzy Frost, Tonia Hodges and Luke Sutton all made the trip down to St. Louis over the weekend to take part in the GO! St. Louis 5K and 7Ks on Saturday, April 8 and Sunday April 9. The runs were in Forest Park and downtown St. Louis. Frost and Sutton ran in the 5K, while Hodges ran in the 7K.
Frost had another stellar performance on Saturday, placing 14th overall. She was also the second overall female finisher and the top female finisher in the 19-and-under division. Her finish time was 19:49, which is six seconds off the 11-and-under Missouri State record. The RMS sixth grader is currently the four mile 11-year-old Missouri State record holder, which she earned at the Race to the Rocker four mile event in Cuba on Saturday, Mar. 18.
Sutton was able to finish just in front of her with a time of 18:52. The Steelville eighth grader finished sixth overall and placed first in the 19-and-under division.
Hodges, a 44-year-old Rolla native placed 312th overall out of 1479 runners in the 7K with a time of 40:53. She placed 14th in her age division.
