The Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet for the St. James Chamber of Commerce will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Matt’s Steakhouse. The keynote speak will be John Eash, the Executive Director of Corporate Relations at Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Eash began his career at McDonnell Douglas in 1980 as a Flight Test Engineer with remote assignments at Patuxent River NATC, MD on the F/A-18 aircraft Full Scale Development Test Program and Holloman AFB, NM on an F-15 aircraft avionics development program.

Eash was promoted to Production Superintendent in 1995 and has held management positions on the T-45, AV-8B, F/A-18 C/D and F/A-18E/F aircraft programs through the transition to the Boeing Company. In February 2001, he was promoted to Senior Manager and assigned to Supplier Management and Procurement responsible for all aspects of supplier development for the Boeing Military Aircraft and Missiles Division. In August 2003, he was promoted to Director, IDS Supplier Quality and Development, responsible for world-wide regional operations.

In June 2010, he was selected to serve as Director, F/A-18 Production Operations, with responsibility for all St. Louis Flight Operations and F-15 Final Assembly. In 2007, Eash served as Boeing’s Executive Focal for Missouri S&T. Eash retired from the Boeing Company in July 2015, shortly before joining Missouri S&T.

Eash has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and M.S. in Engineering Management from Missouri S&T and an MBA in Manufacturing Management from Washington University in St. Louis.

Recognition will be given to the Business of the Year, the Organization of the Year, the Citizen of the Year and Lifetime Achievement. Each table will hold a centerpiece depicting a particular business that will be given away as a door prize. Tickets are required in advance but you don’t have to be a chamber member to attend. They may be purchased at the Tourist Information Center for $30 each. The due date for purchasing tickets is Jan. 19.
