Camden County Sheriff's Office deputies assisted in the apprehension of a suspect who led law enforcement on a vehicle chase through Pulaski County, according to a press release from the department.

On Tuesday, January 2, 2017, around 11:08 p.m., CCSO deputies responded to So. State Hwy. 7 to assist in a pursuit of a silver Malibu with Georgia license plates, originating from Pulaski County. CCSO deputies were not involved in the pursuit, however, according to the release.

The suspect collided with a tree just inside Pulaski County jurisdiction and CCSO deputies assisted Missouri State Highway Patrol on the scene. The suspect was secured in the CCSO vehicle before medical personnel cleared and transferred him to a Waynesville Police Department patrol vehicle.

The male suspect has not been named at this time.
